The decision to organize several seminars in Bishkek (Capital of Kyrgyzstan) had been taken already in October 2013 at the ITF Board Meeting and was announced at the Asian Meeting after the ITF Congress. So it was a good opportunity, especially for the Central Asian countries, to participate.

The 91st IIC of the ITF from April 18th to April 20th was the first one in the younger history in Kyrgyzstan after the passing away of our beloved founder General Choi Hong-Hi.

The 91th IIC was held in Bishkek, capital city of Kyrgyzstan from the 18thto 20thof April 2014.

The Seminar was conducted by Grand Master Hector Marano and Grand Master Kim Lan Ung with participation of Master Paul Weiler. In the IIC participated 104 people from Kyrgyzstan and 3 persons from Moldova.  9 of the participants were 4thdegrees and higher, the others were red belts and 1st, 2ndand 3rddegree black belts.  The First day on 18thof April the IIC began at 15.00 and ended at 20.00. On the Second day the 19th of April the course was divided into two parts, from 9.00 to 13.00, and from 14.00 to 16.00. During the third day of the seminar lasted from 9.00 to 13.00.  At the end of the seminar every participant completed the questionnaires about the IIC and the feedback was very positive.

When I began to imagine this message, I thought at this opportunity I would not want to talk about the magnificent success that the Kid´s Development Program is having in the world and how well it has been received by the educational and social circles and how many new doors are being opened to our instructors and our Taekwon-Do!

I also thought that I would not want to talk about the overwhelming success the Instruction Committee has, with their powerful teaching and standardization that encourage Masters and Instructors to transpire the Dobok with a homogeneous technique across the whole planet.

The 9th ITF Kid’s Program Course was held in Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan on 21st and 22nd of April.

The seminar was conducted by Master Donato Nardizzi with participation of Master Paul Weiler. There were 22 people from Kyrgyzstan attending the course. There was also 1 person from Moldova and 1 person from Russia.

On both days the Course started at 9.00 and ended at 16.00 with an hour break for lunch at 12pm.

Everyone in the course showed great enthusiasm as they participated in the games and activities used in the TKD Program.

Master Nardizzi explained the basic principles and aims of Kid’s program. The seminar was held on the high level of educational content and it became the first step on the road to the development of the Kid’s program in Kyrgyzstan.

On the, 4th 5th and 6th of April the ITF´s 90th IIC was held in Santiago de Chile

This was the first time an IIC took place in Chile, so there was a great expectation before the event was held. The course was a great success, gathering 180 participants and not just only from Chile, the host country, but from the neighbouring countries Argentina, Bolivia and Peru, as well as delegations from Uruguay and Paraguay.

The Grand Masters Hector Marano and Wim Bos, the ITF Technical Committee, developed the essential content of the IIC, with an excellent reception and active participation of the attendees at the course, thus reflecting the interest of Chile and the other countries to continue growing in the practice of Taekwon-Do, under the best standards.

The 3rd ITF seminar in Mozambique was again organized by Mr. Joel dos Santos (ITF President Mozambique/2nd degree) in Matola and Maputo. Due to his connections also two black belts from Zimbabwe (M. Rhichard Mashanje and Definate Nyunda) participated the entire week (March 17thto 22nd) together with one representative from Malawi (Mr. Prince Litete). Malawi will be country no. 8 and Zimbabwe country no. 9 in our ITF on the African Continent (the no. 9 was a very important no. for General Choi).

Jamaica is in preparation to host the 5th World Cup of Taekwon-Do on August 27-30, 2014 in Montego Bay Jamaica, at the Rose Hall Convention Centre. Master Alberto Katz visited the island of Jamaica to conduct a scheduled visit (on behalf of the ITF Tournament & Umpire committee) to confirm final competition hall technical discussions and final facility inspections. Master Katz arrived on Friday March 21, 2014. Meetings were held with the 2014 World Cup Organizing committee members. Visit of the championship Venue and Hotels were carried out. The Jamaica 2014 World Cup Organizing Committee and International Taekwon-do Federation are in high gear in preparing for this Major championship.

70 participants from Colombia, Perú, Puerto Rico and USA, attended the 89th International Instructor Course held in Bogota, Colombia , from the 7th to the 9th of March 2014. The course, which was led by Grand Masters Hector Marano and Ung Kim Lan, was very dynamic and full of great teaching . The course leaders guided the particpants through each pattern in detail, from Chon -Ji to Tong- Il clarifying each of the doubts of the participants and emphasizing the “why”  or the application of  each movement, so that everyone understood the purpose and method involved.
