Kidkicks Issue 1 - Letter Of Introduction From ITF President Master Tran Trieu Quan
(October 30th, 2008)

To all ITF members and their families:

The ITF serves people of all ages who study Taekwon-Do and train regularly in dojangs around the world.

I am very pleased to invite our younger members, children and teenagers, and their families to visit the first edition of the new section of the ITF Website that we have called Kidkicks.

The realization of this new service was a project of the working group led by Mr. Rod Johnson, 5th degree black belt and instructor in Vancouver (Canada), with the assistance of Mrs. Shirley Pygott, 2nd degree black belt and instructor in Auckland (New Zealand). On behalf of the ITF Board of Directors, I would like to express my appreciation for their dedication to realizing this important mandate.

Mrs. Shirley Pygott

Mr. Rod Johnson

The main objectives of this new Kidkicks section are:

  1. To attract our younger members to our official ITF Website by presenting specific materials and topics that address their concerns;
  2. To increase their knowledge of the various aspects of ITF Taekwon-Do and facilitate their training;
  3. To give our younger members opportunities to develop contacts and make new friends by facilitating communications among them, even if they live in distant regions or countries;
  4. To make the parents of our young students aware of the benefits their children derive from practicing ITF Taekwon-Do;
  5. To help our students and their parents to understand the operations of the ITF and its affiliated organizations as well as the advantages of membership in an international organization.

I am sure everyone will enjoy using this new addition to our Website.
